Men's Swimming Opens Season at Loyola (Md.)

The Boston College men's swimming team opened its season with a win over Catholic at Loyola College on Oct. 11.
The Eagles defeated Catholic, 248-40, but were edged by Navy, 203-89, and Loyola, 176-120.
John Maloy led BC with a win in the 200 yard individual medley (1:57:60) and a third place finish in the 500 meter freestyle (4:45:16)
The Eagles also had strong individual performances from Timothy Corrigan and Dominick Boccio.
Corrigan finished second in the 100 yard butterfly (52.76) while Boccio placed second in the 100 yard freestyle (48.08)
Boccio was also part of BC's 200 meter freestyle relay team, with C. Peter Ferguson, Robert Swaninger, and Collin Thilo, that finished second (1:28.13)
The Eagles will return to action with a meet at Connecticut on Oct. 19 at 1 pm.
