Women's Tennis Downed by Dartmouth, 4-3

WEYMOUTH, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team (0-1, 0-0 ACC) lost its first match of the spring season, falling to Dartmouth College (1-0, 0-0 Ivy League), 4-3, on Saturday afternoon.
BC swept all three doubles matches against the Big Green. At the No. 1 slot, Dasha Cherkasov/Lauren Cash def. Megan Zebroski/Molly Scott, 8-4. In the No. 2 match, Alina Sullivan/Jacqueline Mabatah def. Jesse Alder/Mary Winingham, 8-7 (7-4). In the No. 3 match, Krasnopolsky/Gia Nafarrete def. Maggie Suydam/Julia Zak, 8-1.
In singles play, No. 1 Lana Krasnopolsky def. Molly Scott, 6-3, 6-3. Dasha Cherkasov def. Megan Zebroski, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 2 position. Dartmouth won the three through six singles spots to secure the victory.
The Eagles are back on the court on Feb. 1 against Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass. Match time is scheduled for 10 a.m.
