Women's Swimming Defeats Maine, 207-127

ORONO, Maine - The Boston College women's swimming team (8-4, 0-1 ACC) posted three swimmers with multiple event wins to defeat Maine (3-4, 2-1 America East), 207-127, Friday evening.
Caroline Byron, Devon Kelly and Mari Wunschel each earned two first place finishes against the Black Bears. Byron placed first in the 50 free (24.57) and 100 free (54.51). Kelly took top honors in both 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions. Wunschel placed first in the 200 medley (2:11.75) and the 400 medley (4:40.01).
Other top finishers included Caitlin Doherty in the 100 fly and Katie Fritsch in the 200 back. The Eagles also placed first in three out of four relay events.
The next meet for BC is on Jan. 29 against Boston University in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The meet is scheduled for 6 p.m.
