Beth Egnell Leaves Women's Basketball Program

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Sophomore Elizabeth Egnell has decided not to return to the Boston College women's basketball program, according to head coach Cathy Inglese.

Egnell, a 6-foot-1 guard from Sweden, has decided to play for the Swedish Women's National Team. A starter for 22 of 29 games, Egnell averaged 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in her lone season with the Eagles.

The 2007-08 Eagles will feature seven returning letter winners, including two starters.
