Men's Track And Field Compete At Brown Invitational

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College men's outdoor track and field squad took part in the Brown Invitational over the weekend in Providence, RI.
Junior Frank DiVittorio was the only first-place finisher for the Eagles, as he took home the title in the 800 meter run, with a winning time of 1:53.36. Freshman teammate Ryan Diorio finished in fifth (1:56.56).
Junior Patrick Mellea finished second in the 1500 meter event (3:46.87), just three-tenths of a second behind the winner, who ran professionally for Adidas. Eagles junior Josh Springer finished fourth in the race (3:52.95).
Sophomore Patrick Carey came in second in the 5000 meter (15:41.24).
The Eagles run next the weekend of May 11th, when they will compete in the IC4A and New England Championships.
