
Women's Tennis Falls At No. 14 Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After snapping their losing streak against cross-town rival Boston University, the Eagles headed to Tallahassee for their final weekend of regular season match play, and dropped a 7-0 decision to 14th-ranked Florida State. The win improves the Seminoles' overall record to 13-6 and 6-4 in ACC play. BC falls to 5-15 overall and 0-12 in conference play.
The Seminoles quickly took a lead against the Eagles winning all three of the doubles matches. Lauren Macfarlane and junior Tapiwa Marobela would defeat Alina Sullivan and Lana Krasnopolsky, 8-2 and were quickly followed by freshman Jessica Wente and senior Miranda Foley who downed Brittany Delaney and Gia Nafarrete 8-2 as well.
In singles action, Marobela would set the tone as she had no trouble with Sarah Svoboda, winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5. The Seminoles would not drop a set en route to the 7-0 victory.
