CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Boston College women's basketball team placed one player on the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District women's basketball team. Senior center Kathrin Ress was named to the District 1 second-team as announced by CoSIDA.
Ress, a native of Salorno, Italy, is a four-year member of the women's basketball team. She has played in 108 career games and started 100. Ress is currently 11th on the Eagles all-time point scoring list with 1,207 points and is fifth on the all-time rebounding list with 618 boards.
Currently, Ress leads the 11-12 Eagles in scoring (16.3 ppg.), field goal percentage (.544 %), rebounds (8.4 rpg.), free throw percentage (84%) and is second on the team in minutes played (750). Ress, who is a human development major at the Lynch School of Education at Boston College, has earned the Athletics Director's Award for Academic Achievement three straight years.
