CHESTNUT HILL, MA - The Double-A Zone (www.doubleazone.com), the official blog of the NCAA, will originate from the Boston College campus tonight. The blog will follow the day of activities surrounding "Share the Experience," a women's basketball marketing initiative sponsored by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), the NCAA and Boston College.
In addition to written posts throughout the day, the Double-A Zone will also feature video interviews with members of the women's basketball team, head coach Cathy Inglese and others. Fans are encouraged to share their thoughts about Boston College and women's basketball on the Double-A Zone, which is an interactive Web site.
Launched in November 2005, the Double-A Zone is the NCAA's first foray into new media. Most recently, the NCAA debuted the "3-Minute Drill," a video news program that spans the world of intercollegiate athletics. The program is hosted on NCAA.org and Boston College will be featured in this week's program, to be released on March 1.
