
Volleyball Falls to Virginia Tech, 3-1

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Boston College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Virginia Tech Hokies, Saturday afternoon in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
The Eagles jumped out early, taking game-one, 30-28. The Hokies rebounded after a game-one loss to string off three straight victories (30-27, 30-24 and 30-15) to take the match, 3-1.
Senior Kelsey Johnson led the charge for BC, totaling a team-high 18 kills. Audrey Eichler (16) and Abigail Hasebroock (13) also totaled double figures in kills for the Eagles.
Freshman Cathy Quilico registered a team-high in digs with 19 on the afternoon.
The Eagles now own an 8-9 overall record, 2-5 in the ACC. Virginia Tech is 9-8 overall, 3-4 in the ACC.
The Eagles are back in action, Friday Oct. 12, when Miami visits Power Gym in Chestnut Hill. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
