Philadelphia, Pa. - The men's golf team notched their best performance of the fall season by tying for second place at the Big Five Championship hosted by the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday and Sunday.
The men finished the tournament with a combined score of 599, shooting 31-over-par. Cornell was the only team with a lower score, combining for 595 points and a 27-over-par performance. The Eagles' top performer, freshman Craig Kublin, a Needham, Mass. native, finished the tournament in second place. He shot a 143 and ended the tournament at one-over-par.
Senior Alex Snickenberger tied for ninth and ranked second on the team. He shot a seven-over-par and scored 149 points over the two rounds. Sophomore Jan Prokop rounded out the team's top three performers by tying for 16th and shooting a nine-over-par.
J.J. Amoruso of George Mason placed first with a score of 142 and finished the course even with par.
The men will wrap up their fall campaign on Oct. 29 and 30 when they travel to Kerrville, Texas, to compete in the Roadrunner Invitational.
