
Volleyball Rallies to Beat Florida State

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team trailed Florida State, 2-0, but rebounded to win three-straight-games to defeat the Seminoles, 3-2, Saturday night at Power Gymnasium.
With the win, the Eagles upped their record to 10-9 overall, 4-5 in the ACC. BC now owns an 8-1 record at home this season. The match against the Seminoles was the second time this season that BC trailed 2-0 at home and rallied to win, 3-2.
Florida State held a commanding 2-0 lead, winning by scores of 30-17 and 30-18. The Eagles were able to battle back and take game-three, 31-29. After taking game-three, BC won game-four, 30-20 and game-five, 15-7.
Kelsey Johnson totaled a season and match-high 31 kills and added 16 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. Dani Moskitis dished out a career-high 40 assists and tallied 10 digs for her second career double-double.
Cathy Quilico also marked a career-high against the Seminoles, totaling a game-high 27 digs. Taylor Williams added 10 kills, while Abigail Hasebroock recorded 10 kills and six blocks for the Eagles.
The loss drops the Seminoles to 6-11 overall, 3-6 in the ACC.
The Eagles are back in action, Tuesday, Oct. 16 against the Maryland Terrapins. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m. in College Park, Md.
