Track & Field Announces 2006-07 Schedule

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College Eagles men's and women's track & field teams have announced their 2006-07 schedules. Both squads will open at Harvard on December 4 for the beginning of indoor track season. The Eagles will compete against several New England teams at the BU Quad Meet, as well as the Reebok Boston Indoor Invitational in January. Boston College will head to Clemson, S.C. for the ACC Indoor Championships in February, before the NCAA Championships in March in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Eagles will open their outdoor slate at the Husky Spring Open in Dedham, Mass. on March 24 before heading to Orlando, Fla. for the Walt Disney World Invitational. The outdoor ACC Championship will be held at College Park, Md. in April. BC will close out its season at the New England Championship in Hanover, N.H. on May 11 and 12 before the NCAA competition begins on May 25 at the NCAA Regionals in Gainesville, Fla. The outdoor NCAA Championships will be held in Sacramento, Calif. in June.
Head coach Randy Thomas has announced that seniors Mark Alizzi, Christopher Caulfield and Daniel LaFave will be the captains for the men's team this season, while seniors Laurel Burdick, Kasey Hill, Julie Regan and Kathleen Smyth will captain the women's squad.
