Worcester, MA - Freshman Melissa Gimpel scored her first two collegiate goals and had an assist, while senior Jenny Maurer added two goals as Boston College defeated Holy Cross, 8-0, Sunday night in women's soccer action at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium. The Eagles improved to 5-2, while the Crusaders dropped to 1-5-1 overall.
The Eagles outshot the Crusaders, 41-3.
Also in the scoring column for Boston College were freshman midfielder Kelly Henderson, senior defender Mary Schneck, freshman Gina DiMartino (eight goals on the season) and senior forward Molly Dane (one goal, one assist).
Sophomore Sarah Buonomo earned her first career start in goal for the Eagles. She had two saves and earned the shutout.
