Women's Basketball Announces 2006-07 Schedule

The Boston College women's basketball team will begin its second season in the Atlantic Coast Conference on Thursday, January 4 as the Eagles will host Florida State. The schedule for the 2006-2007 season was released today by the college and the conference office.
The Eagles will kick off the season against Sacred Heart University on Sunday, November 12 at Conte Forum on the campus of Boston College (2 p.m.). The team will host Delaware and North Carolina Central University before they travel to Columbus, Ohio to battle the Ohio State University on Tuesday, November 21. Boston College will also play in the University of Rhode Island Tournament on November 24-25. The Eagles will open up the tournament against Central Connecticut State University with the winner advancing to the championship game. The remainder of the non-conference schedule includes games against UNH, St. Joseph's, Maine, Harvard, Fairfield, the College of Holy Cross, Longwood and Massachusetts.
The Eagles will open their ACC schedule with a January 4 match-up against Florida State at Conte Forum (7 p.m.). They will play Virginia at University Hall in its first conference road game on January 14. Boston College will face Maryland, Miami, and NC State twice each, in home-and-home stands. In addition to those three schools, the Eagles will host Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina and Virginia Tech. Boston College will travel to Virginia, Georgia Tech, Duke and Wake Forest.
The ACC Championship will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex March 1-4, 2006.
