CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's soccer head coach Alison Foley has announced the signing of three additional recruits to the class of 2010. All three recruits hail from Massachusetts - two from Natick and another from Worcester, Mass. The three recruits join a program that returns 10 starters in 2006.
Jaclyn Zywien - Worcester, Mass./Holy Name Central Catholic 5-9, Defender

As a senior was an all-state selection and team captain for the Holy Name Central Catholic...set the Holy Name Central Catholic scoring record in goals and assists as a sophomore...named team captain as a junior...captained the U-17 Tri-Valley Eagles Soccer Club...was a member of the Massachusetts Olympic Development Program (ODP)...was a Massachusetts State Champion as a member of the Tri-Valley Eagles Soccer Club...three-year basketball varsity letterwinner at Holy Name, winning the Division I Central Massachusetts Championship...member of the National Honor Society from 2003-06...Holy Name Central Catholic High Honors recipient.

Born June 18, 1988...is the younger of Ed and Janet Zywien two children...enrolled in the College Arts and Sciences.
Mae Shamir - Natick, Mass./Natick High School 6-0, Goalkeeper

Played for the Natick high school varsity team in 2002 and 2004-05...was the Most Valuable Player and All-Star in her junior and senior seasons...member of the 2005 Tri-Valley Eagles Division I MAPLE State Championship team...member of the Massachusetts Olympic Development Program...varsity basketball MVP and Player of the Year as a junior...named to the basketball All-Star team in her senior season...as a member of the 2003 Bay State Champion varsity Volleyball team was named Most Improved Player.

Born Jan. 18, 1988...daughter of Ben Shamir and Robin McDonough...second of four children...enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Brittany Flutie - Natick, Mass./Natick High School 5-10, Forward

Member of the Natick high school varsity soccer program from 2002-05...member of the U16 and U18 TVE MAPLE team...a Bay-State League All-Star...graduated in the top five percent of her class...was also a Bay State League All-Star selection for Basketball from 2003-06.
PERSONAL
Born Nov. 14, 1987...is the third of William and Donna Flutie's four children...enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences...Uncles Doug and Darren Flutie played football at Boston College and professionally.
The three signees join a program that finished tenth in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. In their inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference the Eagles recorded a 13-6-2 overall record and a 5-4-1 mark in the ACC.
