
Women's Tennis Drops Match to North Carolina

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Playing without its top performer, Szilvia Szegedi, the Boston College women's tennis team fell to No. 4 North Carolina, 7-0, in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Dasha Cherkasov took over at No. 1 singles and pushed No. 58 Caitlin Collins to a 7-5 second set before dropping the match. The Tar Heels went on to sweep the singles matches despite strong efforts from Gia Nafarrete and Lindsey Nash.
Lana Krasnopolsky and Cherkasov were handed the task of taking on the Tar Heels No. 6 ranked doubles tandem of Sara Anudsen and Jenna Long, playing well, but dropping the match 6-4.
The Eagles will next face No. 17 Wake Forest at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
