Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College men's tennis team swept its crosstown rival, Boston University, 7-0 in Boston, Mass.
The Eagles earned the doubles point by winning each of the matches 8-4. Soma Kesthely teamed with Sam Wagner to pick up the win, while Alex Rastorgouev and Jason Sechrist took down Miron Nissim and Phil DeMeo. Dennis Reardon and Geoff Mueller finished off the sweep of the doubles side.
Zach Wolfe won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 and No. 6 doubles respectively, while Sechrist earned a 4-1 win at No. 1 with Barrett Wolfe retiring in the first set. Reiser handled Guilio Galloratti, and and Wagner and Rastorgouev finished off the win with strong performances.
The Eagles will finish off the season against Holy Cross next week.
