
Men's Track and Field Competes at Raleigh Relays

The Boston College men's track and field team competed at the Raleigh Relays on Friday, March 24, and Saturday, March 25, in Raleigh, N.C. The event was hosted by North Carolina State University.
Jeff Klatsky finished eighth overall in the unseeded 1500-meter run in 4:01.13, and Stephen Walsh placed 13th. Walsh finished 4:02.11. Dan Springer also competed in the event, placing 15th in 4:02.55. Josh Springer placed 19th in 4:03.17. Mark Alizzi placed 32nd with a time of 4:05.63. Rounding out the 1500 field for the Eagles were Brendan Collins, David Emerson, Joseph Lesniak and Patrick Viklund.
Christopher Caulfield and Gregory Hassel finished 40th and 41st in the 400. Caulfield ran the race in 50.33, and Hassel finished in 50.38. Ryan Henry placed 58th.
The 4x400-meter relay team finished 11th with a time of 3:20.95, while the 4x800 finished seventh in 7:45.34. The 4x1500 finished ninth overall in 16:07.28. The 1600 sprint relay team finished ninth overall in 3:31.55.
In the 5,000 unseeded event Viklund placed 39th and Walsh was 44th.
The Eagles race again on April 4, at the SCSU Invitational in New Haven, Conn.
