
Men's Tennis Shuts Out Monmouth

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College men's tennis team soundly defeated Monmouth, 7-0, in its first home match since returning from a difficult west coast trip.
Each BC singles player dispatched their opponent in straight sets, with Jason Sechrist winning 6-3, 7-6 in his first showing at No. 1 singles this season.
Alex Rastorgouev and Brian Hartness won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 and No. 4 singles respectively. Sam Wagner and Dennis Reardon collected solid wins, as did Michael Reiser who finished off the sweep, winning 6-0, 6-0.
On the doubles side, Sechrist and Reardon pulled out a tight 9-7 win, while the tandems of Wagner and Hartness and Reiser and Zach Wolfe added convincing wins.
The Eagles will return to conference play on Firday against No. 15 Miami in the Murr Center at Harvard University at 11 a.m.
