Women's Ski Team Finishes Third at USCSA Nationals

SUGARLOAF, MAINE - The Boston College women's ski team finished third at the USCSA National Championships on March 8-10. The Eagles finished second in the slalom competition and fifth in the giant slalom event.
Freshman Courtney Willson paced the women's squad with a fifth-place overall finish, accumulating 30.60 total points. Willson led the Eagles in both races, finishing second in the slalom event and ninth in the giant slalom.
Junior Courtney Hollis finished 12th overall (81.40 points) in the national competition. Hollis raced to a 14th-place slalom finish and a 16th-place giant slalom finish. Junior Courtney Culnane turned in the third-best overall BC finish, racing to a 23rd-place overall finish (168.12 points). Culnane finished 12th in the slalom event and 52nd in the giant slalom race.
Sophomore Keegan Garnsey finished in the top-third of the 99-person field, racing to a 31st-place finish (198.81 points).
Sierra Nevada College won the USCSA National Championship after turning in first-place team performances in the giant slalom and slalom competitions. Rocky Mountain College finished three points behind Sierra Nevada, and the Eagles finished one point ahead of Colby-Sawyer College. Brown University rounded out the top five in the 18-team field.
Boston College concluded their season at the USCSA Nationals on Friday, March 10, after having finished first in the USCSA Eastern Regionals on Sunday, Feb. 26, under first-year head coach Peter Endres.
