
Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes Season at ACC Championships

College Park, Md. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving team ended a strong 10-4 campaign at the ACC Championships in College Park, Md.
The Eagles finished in tenth place at the conference tournament, but received some fine performances, including some season bests from a number of swimmers.
The freestyle relay teams were formidable, collected top season times in every event, while the quartet of Andrew Faughnan, Daniel Kollar, Robert Swaninger and Matt Northrup set a school record in the 200, 400 and 800.
Faughnan capped off a solid individaul season as well, leading the way in the 50 and 100 freestyle and earning BC season bests with 21.19 and 46.39 respectively. He also finished with a team best 51.30 in the 100 butterfly.
In the distance freestyle events, Gregory Johnson was tops for the Eagles in the 500 freestyle, while Joseph Maloy garnered the team's fastest time of the season with a 16:56.27.
Tommy Chandler finished with a 54.17 in the 100 backstroke and Michael Cartwright added a fine effort of 1:57.02 in the 200. Assistant captain Michael Moore scored the top time in the 200 breaststroke, capturing a 2:17.36, while Colin Scott continued to be Eagles' best IM performer, earning a 1:24.38 in the 400.
Christopher Wilson-Byrne led the way on the three meter board for BC.
