Women's Ski Team Takes Second Place in Giant Slalom

SUNAPEE, N.H. - The Boston College women's ski team finished second in the giant slalom competition on the first day of the Colby-Sawyer Carnival. Freshman Courtney Willson took third place, posting a total time of 1 minute 19.24 seconds, and junior Courtney Culnane tied for sixth place overall at 1:20.20.
Heading into Saturday's slalom race in Pat's Peak, N.H., the women's team retained a one-point first-place lead over Massachusetts in the Eastern College Ski Conference (ECSC) standings.
Junior Courtney Hollis finished 13th overall, posting a total time of 1:21.06. Sophomore Keegan Garnsey and junior Kara Hoisington finished 18th and 21st, respectively. Sophomore Corey Cameron rounded out the top 25 in Sunapee, N.H.
Boston College finished with an overall team time of 240.50 seconds in the giant slalom event, finishing 1.50 seconds behind top-finisher Massachusetts. Colby-Sawyer, Brown and Smith rounded out the top five schools.
The women's ski team completes their final regular-season competition with the Colby-Sawyer Carnival's slalom event on Saturday, Feb. 18 in Pat's Peak, N.H.
