Weymouth, Mass. - The Boston College men's tennis team was welcomed into their new conference by Virginia Tech, dropping its first-ever ACC match 7-0 to the Hokies in Weymouth, Mass.
Soma Kesthely and Jason Sechrist kept their No. 1 and 2 singles matches close, but the No. 44 ranked Hokies were too strong for the Eagles, winning every singles match and finishing the sweep with all three wins on the doubles side as well.
The Eagles will look to rebound Saturday at 3:30 p.m. against Rhode Island at the Flynn Complex.
