Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The women's soccer team continues their ascension of the national rankings. Soccer Buzz Magazine ranks the Eagles no. 9, the highest they have ever been in the publications rankings. They moved up two slots from last week. BC is currently one of a record five ACC teams to be in the publication's top 10.
North Carolina (1), Florida State University (7), Duke (8) and Virginia (10) are the other ACC schools in the top 10.
Soccer America has the Eagles at no. 8, up one spot from last week. The Eagle's remain at no. 9 in the NSCAA polls.
Currently, BC is on a six game win-streak and has not let up a goal in all 540:00 minutes of play. BC leads the nation in goals-against-average, shutouts per game and is the only team in Division I not to give up a goal yet this season.
The Eagles take on the Northeastern Huskies on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 3:00. The game will be played at Northeastern's Parsons Field. Last season the Eagles defeated Northeastern, 1-0, with Kia McNeill scoring the game-winner.
BC begins its conference schedule on Sunday, Sept. 25 at Clemson. Kickoff is set for 2:00.
