
Women's Tennis to Begin the Season This Weekend

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team travels to Williamsburg, Va. this weekend to compete in the 13th Annual William and Mary Invitational. 110 singles players and 53 doubles teams will compete.
The event is recognized as one of the top college tournaments on the east coast, with five future ACC opponents featured. 16 teams with individuals who earned a spot in last year's national rankings will also participate.
In addition to this weekend's tournament, three Eagles were selected to compete in this year's Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Senior Szilvia Szegedi, and freshmen Lana Krasnopolsky, and Dasha Cherkasov will be part of the pre-qualifying tournament at UCLA October 1-2. This marks the first time the Eagles have claimed spots in the tournament which boasts 39 of the top 40 players in the ITA preseason rankings.
