Waseem, Nafarrete Earn All-Big East Tournament Honors

Senior Nida Waseem and freshman Gia Nafarrete earned all-Big East Tournament honors for their doubles play in Tampa, Fla. last week.
The duo won two matches at No. 1 doubles for the Eagles, defeating Syracuse's top team, 8-5, as well as St. John's squad, 8-6.
It is the second consecutive year that Waseem has earned all-tournament honors, having been recognized last season for her outstanding doubles play with Emily Hellberg.
The Eagles finished the season 11-11 and earned a fourth-place finish in the Big East Tournament.
