MacIsaac Leads Men's Track At UConn Invitational

Senior Daniel MacIsaac led a Boston College sweep in the 800 meters on Saturday afternoon at the UConn Invitational in Storrs, Conn.
In his last collegiate 800-meter race, MacIsaac went out on top with a winning time of 1 minute, 54.13 seconds. Brenton Wheatley and Daniel LaFave finished second and third, respectively, in the event.
Senior Geoff Atkins ran BC's second-fastest 400-meter time of the season en route to a second-place finish in the event. Atkins was less than one second off the pace with a mark of 49.72.
Freshmen twins Dan Springer and Josh Springer both ran personal-best times in the 1,500-meter run. Dan finished in fifth with a time of 3:59.92 and Josh came in at 4:02.19.
Sophomore Trevor Frierson won the 200-meter dash in 24.01 for the Eagles.
