Men's Tennis Wins Big East Opener

The men's tennis team continued its torrid play on Saturday, opening the Big East portion of its schedule with a 7-0 victory over Villanova at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
It was the third consecutive shutout for the Eagles (5-9, 1-0), who defeated Holy Cross and Bentley by the same score on Thursday.
BC won all six of its singles matches in straight sets. Senior Chris McCoy won in the No. 2 slot, defeating Ricardo Baraldi 6-1, 6-0.
Sophomore Soma Kesthely also won handily in the No. 1 position, cruising past Aaron Kusza, 6-1, 6-1.
BC returns to action on Sunday when it hosts Georgetown at 2 p.m.
