Field Hockey To Vie For Mercian Cup Championship

CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. - The Boston College field hockey team is wrapping up its spring schedule with an appearance in the championship round of the Mercian Cup. Boston College will face Connecticut at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 17. The winner will go on to play in the championship at 1:00 p.m. while the loser will play in the 2:00 p.m. consolation match. All games will be played at Connecticut.
On April 24, the Eagles will play in a one-day event at Holy Cross. They are scheduled to take on Holy Cross (1:30 and 3:00) and Brown (2:00 and 3:30) in a series of shortened games. Finally, they will play Harvard (10:35), Boston University (11:10), and New Hampshire (12:55) in a Harvard Tournament on April 30.
Boston College will officially open the 2005 season at state rival Massachusetts on August 30. BC's first home game is a September 4 meeting with Kent State.
