The Boston College women's basketball team has earned the fourth seed at the 2005 Big East Women's Basketball Tournament at the Hartford Civic Center this weekend. The Eagles finished their conference schedule with a 10-6 record.
The top four seeds in the draw receive a bye into the quarterfinals. BC will face the winner of Saturday's game between No. 5 Villanova and No. 12 Providence on Sunday at 12 p.m.
The Eagles clinched the No. 4 seed with their 64-55 win over St. John's on Tuesday night. The victory, coupled with Villanova's loss at Rutgers, secured the spot for Boston College.
Last year, BC became the first team in Big East history to win the conference title by winning four games on four consecutive days. It was the first title in school history.
Sunday's game will be televised on CSTV.
