
Men's Swimming and Diving Defeats Providence

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Junior David Lin won both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke to help Boston College defeat Providence 150-107 at the Flynn Swimming Complex in Chestnut Hill.
Lin recorded times of 1:03.42 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:21.91 in the 200-yard, earning 18 points for the Eagles.
The foursome of Thomas Nececkas, John Dussel, Vincent Shen and Andrew Faughnan captured the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.07. Nececkas also won the 200-yard backstroke while Faughnan contributed another win in the 100-yard freestyle.
Junior Matt Northrup won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.61. Alex Zucco also earned points for the Eagles by winning the 100-yard backstroke and swimming the anchor leg of the second-place 200-yard medley relay team.
The Eagles will meet Colgate Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Flynn Swimming Complex.
