
No. 13 Field Hockey Selected For NCAA Tournament Play

Indianapolis, Ind. - The 13th-ranked Boston College field hockey team is one of 16 teams selected to participate in the 2005 NCAA Field Hockey Championship, as announced Tuesday night by the NCAA Division I Women's Field Hockey Committee.
The Eagles (13-6) will be one of four teams at the Princeton, New Jersey regional site. Held at Class of 1952 Stadium on the campus of Princeton University, the regional action will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 12-13. The Eagles will face former BIG EAST Conference-mate Connecticut (16-5) at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the first round game. The winner will face the winner of the Duke vs. Princeton game, which will be played at 11 a.m. Sunday's second-round game time is TBA.
Winners of each of the four regionals will advance to the NCAA Field Hockey Championships to be held at Trager Stadium on the campus of University of Louisville November 18 (5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) and 20 (12:30 p.m.).
