
Swimming and Diving Split With UNH

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Joseph Maloy won the 500-yard freestyle by an impressive 12-second margin to help the men's swimming and diving team defeat UNH at the Flynn Complex Pool. The women fell to the Wildcats 188.5-120.5.
Two of the men's relay teams earned first place finishes, the 200-yard medley relay team of Matt Northrup, Robert Swaninger, Colin Scott and Gregory Johnson and the 200-yard freestyle foursome of Alex Zucco, Brian Sargenti, Michael Moore and Thomas Martz.
Individually, Scott took first in the 200-yard individual medley relay, while Martz won the 100-yard butterfly. Swaninger also won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.09.
Jeffrey Benson earned first in the 200-yard freestyle, while David Lin took the 100-yard breaststroke and Michael Cartwright won the 200-yard backstroke.
Christopher Wilson-Byrne continued his dominance on the board this year by again taking first in both the one and three-meter diving events.
On the women's side, Elizabeth Byron won both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events. The 200-yard freestyle team of Megan Hurd, Elizabeth Snyder, Holly Boucher and Kelly Leahey also earned first place for the Eagles.
