STORRS, Conn. - The 14th-ranked Boston College field hockey team slipped by No. 12 Connecticut 1-0 Wednesday evening at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex in Storrs, Conn. With the win, the Eagles improve to 13-5 overall and have won their last six games. The Huskies drop to 13-5 on the season.
After a scoreless and tightly-contested first half, Bronwen Kelly (Mississauga, Ontario) netted the game's only goal, unassisted, at 48:34. The win was BC's fifth shutout of the season.
The Eagles kept the Huskies at bay, despite giving up a slight advantage in shots on net and penalty corners.
Boston College will close out the regular season at Wake Forest Sunday. The ACC Tournament will be held at University of Maryland, November 3-6.
