Greensboro, N.C. - Boston College sophomore Crystal Frates (Woodstock, Vt.) was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week after her four-goal effort in the 14th-ranked Eagles' 2-0 week. She is the second Eagle of the season to be honored by the ACC office.
Against Harvard on Wednesday, Frates got Boston College on the board in the sixth minute as the Eagles cruised to a 4-0 win over their cross-town rival. The forward then exploded for all three goals in Boston College's 3-2 win over New Hampshire on Sunday.
For the week, Frates scored four goals on as many shots for eight points, moving her into the team lead in goals with 13 and second on the team in total points with 26. Two of Frates' goals were game-winners, giving her a team-best four on the season.
Boston College (12-4, 1-3 ACC), ranked 14th in the latest STX/NFHCA Poll, returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 26, when it will travel to No. 12 Connecticut for a 7:00 p.m. tilt.
