Men's XC Opened Season At Wildcat Invitational

The Boston College Men's Cross Country team finished seventh overall at the 2004 Wildcat Invitational this weekend in Durham, New Hampshire. This was the first race of the 2004 season for BC.
The overall winner of the invitational was the University of New Hampshire. The Wildcats notched only 53 points, finishing 12 points below the second place finisher Harvard University.
The 8k race saw the Eagles tally 157 points overall with a total time of 2:13:05.55. When broken down by individual, the average time for the race was 26:36.71.
Freshman Adam Moitoso ran the best race for the Eagles in his first collegiate race. The Warwick, R.I. native ran a 25:46.15 which took 14th place overall.
Another standout was junior Drew Wiechnicki who ran a 26:34.43. This time landed him 30th overall. A bit further down the list, junior Joe Lesniak and senior Adrian Anderson finished back to back in the 35th and 36th slots. The duo ran a 26:47.15 and a 26:50.91, respectively.
The next meet for the men's squad is Saturday, September 25 at the Iona College Meet of Champions in New York, NY.
