Women's Soccer Dubbed 21st In Nation

In anticipation for the 2004 season, Soccer America Magazine released its preseason national women's soccer rankings. On Friday morning, Soccer America ranked the Eagles at 21st in the nation.
Other BIG EAST teams that made the top 25 were Notre Dame (3), The University of Connecticut (13) and the University of West Virginia (24). At the conclusion of the 2003 regular season, Notre Dame finished atop the Mid-Atlantic Division of the BIG EAST last season and Connecticut took the Northeast Division title.
The Eagles at climbed to the13th slot in the country in the November, 2003 Soccer America polls. Last season, the Eagles improved their record from 11-8-1 in 2002 to 15-3-3 in 2003.
Soccer America will announce its preseason All-America Team next Monday, August 23rd.
