Women's Tennis Falls To Miami In BIG EAST Semifinals

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The third-seeded Eagles fell to second-seeded Miami by a 4-0 score in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championships on Friday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. It was BC's first loss in nine matches and marked the first time the Eagles suffered a sweep all season.
Senior Emily Hellberg (Spring Lake, Mich.) and junior Nida Waseem (Karachi, Pakistan) fell to Megan Bradley and Melissa Applebaum at No. 1 doubles, while Szilvia Szegedi and Emily Yeomans lost to Mari Toro and Audrey Banada.
Szedegi fell to Bradley at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1 and Amy Molden and Hellberg lost at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively.
