Eagles Grab Sixth-Place in Conference Action

Worcester, Mass. - The Boston College women's rowing team finished sixth in the BIG EAST Women's Rowing Challenge at Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday, April 25.
The Eagles landed a fourth-place mark in the Varsity Eight and Novice Eight Grand Finals. Boston College finished sixth in each of the Second Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Four events. The Eagles finished seventh in the Varsity Four Grand Final, a mark that helped the Eagles land a first-place finish in the event's Petite Final.
Notre Dame won four of five races to capture its first BIG EAST Women's Rowing Challenege title. The Fighting Irish finished with 116 points, while Miami (92), Syracuse (82), Rutgers (74), and Georgetown (73) rounded out the top five.
In the Varsity Eight competition, Boston College finished 0.12 seconds before fifth-place Rutgers and 0.16 seconds before sixth-place Rutgers. The Eagles claimed a fourth-place finish in the Novice Eight after finished 0.05 seconds behind third-place Notre Dame.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9, in the Dad Vail Championships in Philadelphia.
