San Antonio, Texas - Boston College senior point guard Amber Jacobs (Clarks Summit, Pa.) captured the 3-point shooting title at the 16th Annual Mountain Dew College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Shooting Championships.
After three rounds, Jacobs was the reigning winner as she topped seven other sharp-shooters that included Kelly Mazzante (Penn State), Vicki Krapohl (Duke), Chandi Jones (Houston), and Kim MacMillan (St. John's).
After the women's competition, Jacobs went head-to-head with men's winner Terrence Woods (Florida A&M). Woods, who has led the nation in three-point shooting each of the last two years, edged Jacobs by a final score of 16-14 to claim the Midas 3-Point Challenge.
