Boston College women's ice hockey goaltender Lisa Davis (Falmouth, Mass.) earned Hockey East All-Star Honorable Mention in an announcement by the league, Friday, March 19.
Co-captain Sarah Carlson (Copper Center, Alaska) was the runner-up for the conference's Sportsmanship Award.
Lisa Davis, a junior, had already racked up the league's defensive player-of-the-week nod (Feb. 9) and the Joe Bertagna Award for the Beanpot's outstanding goalie this season. She made 20 or more stops in her last 10 games. For the season, she accumulated 30 or more saves in a game 10 times, five of which were 40-plus save efforts, culminating into a 59-rejection effort to no. 3 Harvard on Feb. 3. Her 2163 saves over her three-year career place her second on BC's all-time list. In addition, she earned a 3.35 goals against average which qualified as the second-lowest GAA for a season in the program's history, giving her all top-three spots in that department.
The Eagles ended the 2003-04 season with a 6-22-3 mark and 1-18-1 record in the competitive Hockey East Conference.
