Alison Quandt Earns Defensive Player of the Week

Boston College women's ice hockey goaltender Alison Quandt (Wayland, Mass.) earned Hockey East Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors in an announcement made Monday, March 15. She is the third Eagle to be recognized this season and second BC goaltender distinguished. Nancy Gillis was named the league's player of the week, Monday, Jan. 5, and Lisa Davis earned defensive player of the week on Feb. 9.
Quandt stopped 43 of 46 shots in the BC's season-ending 4-2 loss to Providence, Saturday, March 13. The Friars are receiving votes in the latest UCHO top-10 poll. That marked Quandt's second start of the season. She earned the netminding victory in BC's 5-3 victory over Union, Jan. 15 with 15 stops. The sophomore concluded the season with a 3.02 goals against average, .906 save percentage and record of 1-1.
The Eagles ended the 2003-04 season with a 6-22-3 mark and 1-18-1 record in the competitive Hockey East Conference.
