Men's Ski Team Takes Second Place At ECSC Regionals

WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - Senior Dave Giulietti (Farmington, Conn.) and freshman Greg Avallon (Beverly, Mass.) finished in the top ten in slalom and giant slalom events to help the Boston College men's ski team earn a second-place tie with Plymouth State in the ECSC Regional Championships, held on Saturday, Feb. 21, through Monday, Feb. 23.
Giulietti and Avallon finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the men's giant slalom competition while sophomore Peter Bohlin (Dover, Mass.) rounded out the top 20 with a 20th-place finish. As for the men's slalom race, Avallon, Giulietti, and sophomore Andrew Wallman (Park City, Utah) bottlenecked their finishes at third, fourth, and fifth.
Three Eagles finished in the top ten in the individual combined results. Avallon finished fourth, Giulietti tallied a fifth-place mark, and Wallman achieved 10th place.
The Eagles took first place in team competition in the slalom race and finished fourth in the giant slalom event. The University of Massachusetts took first place in overall competition, while Colby-Sawyer took fourth place.
The men's ski team returns to action in the USCSA Nationals on Thursday, March 4, in Sugarloaf, Maine.
