Eagles Finish Second At ECSC Regionals

WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - Senior Jennifer Runco (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), freshman Courtney Culnane (Stratton Mountain, Vt.), freshman Kara Hoisington (Carrabassett Valley, Maine), and senior Erica Plyman (Old Forge City, N.Y.) led the Boston College women's ski team to a second place overall finish with their top-five finishes in the ECSC Regionals held from Saturday, Feb. 21 through Monday, Feb. 23.
Runco and Culnane paced themselves to second and third place finishes, respectively, in the slalom competition. As for the giant slalom event, Hoisington and Plyman finished back-to-back at fourth and fifth place. The Eagles took second place in each of the giant slalom and slalom competitions. Brown took first place in the ECSC Regional competition.
Individually, Runco took third place in the combined results, while Hoisington finished fifth and Culnane grabbed sixth place. Notably for the Eagles, Plyman finished 11th, while freshman Molly McCary (Edina, Minn.) took 16th place.
The women's ski squad hits the slope in the USCSA Nationals beginning Friday, March 5, in Sugarloaf, Maine.
