Women's Basketball Announces New Recruits

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team received two national letters of intent from its 2005-06 class of recruits. The following is a list of players who will join the Boston College women's basketball team as freshmen next season:

Brittany Johnson 5-9 Guard Fenwick HS/Chicago, Ill. * 13.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 5.2 apg, 4.1 spg (as a junior) * Street & Smith's Honorable Mention All-America * Nike Premiere Camp invitee * All-Chicago Area honorable mention

Corey Rusin 5-8 Guard Twin Valley HS/Wilmington, Vt. * 19.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.0 spg (as a junior) * Two-time Street & Smith's Honorable Mention All-America * Division IV Vermont State Champions (2003-04) * 64-7 in high school career * Gatorade Vermont Player of the Year (2003-04) * Vermont Coaches Player of the Year (2003-04) * Vermont Miss Basketball (2003-04) * Three-time Vermont Basketball Coaches Association "Dream Team"
