Eagles Dominate Western Michigan

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Jessalyn Deveny, Clare Droesch and Brooke Queenan teamed for 55 points as No. 18 Boston College beat Western Michigan 71-50 on Saturday in the second game of the Spartan Classic.
Deveny had a game-high 20 points and added nine rebounds in the season opener for both teams. Droesch had 18 points and five assists, while Queenan added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
All three shot better than 50 percent, and Boston College used a 50-41 edge on the boards to trigger a series of fast breaks. The Eagles led 39-25 at halftime.
Casey Rost had 13 points for Western Michigan, which shot 27.9 percent.
Boston College will face No. 15 Michigan State in the title game on Sunday.
