Senior Morgan Landes had an outstanding performance at the ITA Eastern Regional Women's Tennis Championship in Philadelphia this past weekend. Landes went 3-1 to lead the Eagles in victories at the tournament.
The co-captain was placed in the qualifying draw where she won two consecutive matches over Dartmouth's Sarah McNally and Maryland's Masha Senic to earn a spot in the main bracket. Landes needed three sets to dispatch McNally - winning 4-6, 7-6 (1), 7-5 - and took out Senic in straight sets - 6-3, 6-3.
In the first round of the main draw, Landes continued her hot play, beating Army's Marissa Lirnsiaco - 6-1, 6-2. The senior finished her weekend with a second-round loss to Maryland's Jennifer Dent - 7-5, 6-1.
The Eagles will play their final tournament of the fall season in Hanover, N.H. next weekend when they compete in the Dartmouth College Invitational.
