Boston College women's soccer coach Alison Foley was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as the Northeast Region Coach of the Year, making her one of six finalists for National Coach of the Year honors.
Foley, in her seventh season at the BC helm, led the Eagles to a 15-3-3 record and an NCAA Tournament berth. The Eagles also went to just their second-ever BIG EAST Championship game, where they tied Villanova, but narrowly missed winning the trophy in penalty kicks.
In her seven seasons at the Heights, Foley has led the Eagles to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the "Sweet 16" in 1999. She has compiled a record of 88-47-14 at Boston College.
