Notre Dame Eliminates Women's Tennis From BIG EAST Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The third-seeded women's tennis team lost to second-seeded and 24th-ranked Notre Dame, 4-0, in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championships on Sunday, April 27 at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
Boston College's subsequent consolation match against No. 4 Virginia Tech was suspended due to lightning with the score tied 3-3, meaning the Eagles and Hokies finished in a tie for third.
The Eagles lost to the Fighting Irish in straight sets at Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 singles. The Irish then went on to defeat Miami, 4-3 in the championship.
Boston College finishes the year 13-8 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
