No. 24 Women's Basketball Heads to BIG EAST Championship

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - No. 24 Boston College wrapped up the women's basketball regular season with a 72-71 victory over No. 18 Rutgers University Tuesday evening. The Eagles concluded the regular season with a 20-7 overall record, and a 12-4 mark in BIG EAST play.
Boston College finished its conference schedule in fourth place, earning the fourth seed - and a first-round bye - for the BIG EAST Championship, which will be held March 8-11 at the Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J.
The Eagles will meet the winner of fifth-seeded Virginia Tech and 12th-place West Virginia in the quarterfinal round on Sunday, March 9 at noon.
